Purpose:

Report seeking approval to extend the contract with Liberata for the provision of hosting WIMS, the council’s legacy financial system.

Decision:

1.         That this report be exempt from disclosure by virtue of the Local  Government Act 1972 Schedule 12A, Part 1, Paragraph 3 (as amended), in that it contains information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information).

 

2.         That the Cabinet Member for Finance and Corporate Servicesapproved the modification of the contract to vary and extend the term to 31st October 2016 with Liberata for provision of hosting WIMS for the sum per month as set out in the report, with an option to terminate early on one month’s notice.

 

Reasons for Decision 

 

1.            Historical data is required by statute and for financial planning and decision taking processes; the decision sought will ensure the Council retains the historical data service with the current provider until transition to the MSP solution is completed or an alternative has been procured.

 

2.         The Council effectively has no option other than to extend.
