Cabinet Member report for Award of Contract for Domestic Heating Services.

1.            That in accordance with Paragraph 3 of schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972, this report be exempt from publication in that it contains information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding the information).

2.            That the Cabinet Member for Housing approved the award of a ten year term contract for the repair, maintenance and replacement of domestic heating installations and smoke detectors in the Council’s tenanted housing stock to the preferred bidder and to the sum per annum as detailed in the report.

Reasons for Decision

1.         The repair, maintenance and replacement of domestic heating installations and smoke detectors will ensure the Council’s tenanted properties within the housing stock continue to meet the decent homes standard.

2.         This contract will support the Council’s plans to invest in its existing housing stock over the next 10 years.
