Cabinet Member approval sought of a revised version of the Council’s guidelines for considering applications for National Non-Domestic Rates Discretionary Relief.

That having carefully considered the consultation responses, the Cabinet Member for Finance, Property and Corporate Services approved the revised National Non-Domestic Rates Discretionary Relief Guidelines, including the delegated authorities for the City Treasurer and Head of Revenues and Benefits as set out in Appendix C of the report.

Reasons for Decision 

The proposed guidelines document in Appendix C of the report will, by providing criteria to be considered when making decisions, assist with robust and consistent decision-making.
