Purpose:

A decision to approve a new contract provided services within Facilities Management.

Decision:

Summary of Decision: The Cabinet Member for Finance and Council Reform has approved the direct award?for the delivery of a facilities management contract to OCS Group UK Limited (company number 03056469) to the total contract sum of £1.422m for the period 1 May 2025 to 31 May 2027, with the option to extend for an additional period of up to 2 years at an additional cost of £1.366m. He has agreed to delegate authority to the Executive Director of Finance and Resources to approve any changes required to the mobilisation, commencement or provision of the services and approved the next steps regarding the management of the existing facilities management contract as set out in the Part B appendix. He has delegated authority to the Executive Director of Finance and Resources to agree all necessary steps and the sums which may be claimed by the current contractor in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Finance and Council Reform. 

 

Reason for Decision: The Council has a series of crucial obligations to meet in relation to the safety of its sites, staff and residents, and facilities management plays a key role in ensuring that all buildings meet the statutory standards as a minimum.  The chosen suppliers that work in partnership with the Council must operate with high standards, particularly as many sites are accessed by the public who rely on services provided by the Council. The supplier was assessed on technical ability, compliance, acceptance of the contract terms, and other standards including commitment to the London Living Wage (LLW) and economic and financial standing.
