Summary of the application

An application submitted was by a local resident for a review of the premises licence for The Globe, 43 - 47 Marylebone Road, London NW1 5JY. The application was received on 16th September 2024 on the grounds of the Prevention of Public Nuisance. There is a resident count of 181.

 

Hearing

 

1.     Ms Jessica Donovan, Licensing Officer, outlined the review application to the Committee. She advised that the review had been brought forward by a local resident, Mr Michael Zelouf, on the grounds of the Prevention of Public Nuisance. She advised that the Premises were situated in the Marylebone Ward but not in any Cumulative Impact or Special Considerations Zones. She confirmed that representations had been received from the Environmental Health Service and four interested parties including Councillor Karen Scarborough. She confirmed that the additional submissions from the Applicant and the Interested Parties had been circulated.

 

2.     Mr Michael Zelouf outlined his application to the Committee. He advised that he lived opposite the premises and often experienced noise after 00:00hrs making him unable to sleep before 01:00 hrs or 02:00hrs. Between 15th March and 27th March he experienced six events of nuisance after 00:00hrs.
