4.1           The Sub-Committee noted the report which outlined the purpose of the role, following which the Sub-Committee interviewed three candidates as set out in the report.

RESOLVED:

1)               That the General Purposes Urgency Sub-Committee note the action taken by the Director of Corporate Services, under delegated powers, detailed in the report, to advertise and shortlist potential candidates for interview.

2)               That having interviewed shortlisted candidates for the position of “Independent Person”, Council be recommended to appoint Janet Kealey.
