Membership

To note any changes to the membership.

It was noted that Councillor Nafsika Butler-Thalassis was substituting for Cllr Patrick Lilley.

Declarations of Interest

To receive declarations by Members and Officers of the existence and nature of any pecuniary interests or any other significant interest in matters on this agenda.

Minutes:

Councillor Paul Fisher explained that a week before the meeting, all Members of the Sub-Committee were provided with a full set of papers including a detailed officer’s report on each application; together with bundles of every single letter or email received in respect of every application, including all letters and emails containing objections or giving support. Members of the Sub-Committee read through everything in detail prior to the meeting. Accordingly, if an issue or comment made by a correspondent was not specifically mentioned at this meeting in the officers’ presentation or by Members of the Sub-Committee, it did not mean that the issue had been ignored. Members would have read about the issue and comments made by correspondents in the papers read prior to the meeting.

 

Councillor Paul Fisher declared an interest in Item 2 that it was in his ward, but he had held no discussions with any parties regarding the application.

 

Councillor Barbara Arzymanow declared an interest in Item 4 that it was in her ward, but she had held no discussions with any parties regarding the application.

 

Councillor Nafsika Butler-Thalassis declared an interest in Item 5 that it was in her ward, but she had held no discussions with any parties regarding the application.

1.

Beachcroft School, 35 Finchley Road, London, NW8 0NW pdf icon PDF 628 KB

Minutes:

Variation of condition 6 of planning permission dated 30 October 2015 (RN: 15/07257/FULL) for the: External alterations including creation of a new double door entrance within the existing eastern facade and formation of a new pedestrian only double gate entrance within the existing site boundary railings. Alterations to the existing external garden area; installation of a new steel framed canopy structure along the building line facing into the existing garden area to create an area of covered play and external teaching area. Re-landscaping of an area of land to the south of the current Beachcroft AP curtilage currently part of George Eliot School) to create additional play space for the AP school. NAMELY, to allow an increased capacity of pupils from 50 to 73.

Councillor Caroline Sargent, in her capacity as Ward Councillor, addressed the Committee in objection to the application.

Minutes:

Erection of a roof extension and alterations to the front elevation to enlarge and alter residential dwelling (Class C3) and the installation of air source heat pump at roof level with an acoustic enclosure.

Additional representations were received from Daylight Sunlight Consulting Ltd (23.04.24) and a resident (06.06.24).

Late representations were made by the presenting officer with amendments to the Draft Decision Letter removal of conditions (4,6,7,8 and 10 + informatives 2 and 3) and changing the description of development to remove reference to the ASHP and enclosure.

RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY:

 

That conditional planning permission be granted with an informative to remind the applicant of their responsibilities under the Party Wall Act.
