SUBMISSIONS

  1. The Presenting Officer, Ms Haq, Senior Licensing Officer, introduced the application.  She confirmed that the Applicant had amended the commencement hour for on sales of alcohol to 11:00 hours.

  1. Mr Taylor, representing Greater London Authority / LS Events, outlined the application.  The Fan Meeting Point at Hyde Park would be used for the congregation of fans of one of the clubs involved in the Champions League Final on Saturday 1 June.  It was envisaged that ticketholders for the game would travel from Hyde Park to Wembley and that non ticketholders could stay at the Meeting Point and watch the match via a live screening.  Mr Taylor mentioned that the concept for fan zones arose from the Baroness Casey Review of the Men’s Euros Final in 2021, the Champions League Final was the most popular televised football match in the world, the event was the opportunity to showcase London and there was an economic benefit in the region of £90m.
